What:
This event will serve as the formal announcement to the public and press of the new, collaborative KidZone PHILADELPHIA initiative. The Launch Event will draw upon the KidZone’s strategic Lift As You Climb theme for community mobilization which represents supporting families and enlisting both youth and adults in serving their communities. From start to finish the Launch Event will educate people about KidZone and inspire them to individual or organizational free membership and active engagement. To this end, a variety of strategies will be employed including a series of interactive activities staged on different floors throughout the museum; a press conference featuring the Leadership Council and special announcements; a multi-media presentation; as well as food, entertainment, and giveaways.

Who:
Approximately 400 guests from Philadelphia, New Jersey and surrounding areas: civic policy makers; opinion leaders in the field of children, youth and family services; leaders from numerous neighborhood organizations; children and families from the Northwest Philadelphia community; and a slate of other special guests
