Bernard McMullan
Director, Evaluation
For more than 25 years, Bernard McMullan has designed and directed evaluations of educational
reform and social service initiatives on behalf of an array of national and
regional philanthropic organizations, school districts, and community-based
organizations. He blends quantitative and qualitative approaches to provide
organizations and funders a comprehensive understanding of program
implementation and the results of interventions. Bernard has worked
with small, volunteer-based community organizations as well as some of the
nation’s largest urban districts. As director of evaluation at the Center for Afterschool Education, he is charged with on-going evaluation activities related to the delivery and results of professional development and its improvements on afterschool practice.
