Natalie Lucas
As Director, Natalie provides professional development and technical assistance for the Center. She collaborates on publications and initiatives to build knowledge in the field of afterschool and expanded learning, with a particular interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Natalie also supports on-the-ground programs at Foundations' Philadelphia Center for Arts and Technology through project development and management. Prior to joining Foundations, Natalie has worked in the field of education in a variety of roles, first as an instructor in an outdoor environmental science center operated by Clemson University in South Carolina. As a Teach for America corps member, Natalie taught middle school science, reading and math in the Atlanta Public Schools. Her background also includes English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction for adults in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Natalie holds a bachelor's degree in Biology from Brandeis University and a Master's degree in Journalism, with a concentration in Science, Health and Environmental Reporting from New York University.
